Authentic Canadian Rockies Experience

Secluded Location

Our lodge is located lakeside on Amethyst Lakes.

We have 6 cabins which can accommodate the variety of different sizes and requirements of all our guests.

Tonquin is great place to unplug from technology.

Our Cabins

Our smallest, most secluded cabin has a double bed which can accommodate 1 or 2 people then ranges up to our largest cabin which is outfitted with two queen size beds, two single beds and can sleep 6 individuals.

All our cabins are equipped with wood burning stoves. Accommodation includes log beds with cozy down duvet covers and all bedding provided. Cabins also have a personal deck with a breathtaking view of the Ramparts.

Uncrowded & Relaxing

Tonquin Valley trips are limited to 18 people in order to maintain an uncrowded and relaxed atmosphere.

The most beautiful place I’ve ever been

Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing views. Backpackers can hike into the cabins, but you should 100% do the horse trip. The horse trip is a total of 5 days. Day 1 is spent riding to the cabins. Day 2 has an option for a day ride or you can go for a hike, get in one of their canoes, go fishing, or just relax. Day 3 is a rest day for the horses and you can do whatever you want other than a day ride. Day 4 is the same as Day 2. Finally, Day 5 is your trip back to the trailhead. The entire journey is stunningly cheap.
